Leana Taylor

Leana Taylor is op 19 Oktober 1973 in Reitz gebore. Haar troetelnaam Maletsatsi, wat “sonskyn” beteken, is aan haar gegee deur Maria, wat vir haar ouers gewerk het — ’n naam wat sy steeds met trots dra.

Reeds op skool het haar skryftalent uitgestaan, met onderwysers wat haar opstelle in die klas laat skryf het uit vrees dat dit nie haar eie werk was nie. Die liefde vir taal is deel van haar erfenis, gevoed deur kreatiewe ouers.

In 2015 is haar eerste boek gepubliseer, gevolg deur twee ander, insluitend ’n Afrikaanse digbundel. Sy skryf in beide Engels en Afrikaans en glo geen dag is voltooi sonder om te skryf nie.

Haar boek 120 Hours of Antonyms is aan haar oorlede vriend en kollega, Malefane, opgedra.
