Natalie-Dominque Louw

Natalie-Dominque Louw is a South African author and visual artist with a distinguished professional background and a lifelong passion for creative expression. Born, raised, and educated in Pretoria, she matriculated in 1972 and went on to earn a National Diploma in Analytical Chemistry from the Pretoria Technikon. Her early career included positions at the Department of Agriculture and the Uranium Enrichment Corporation.

Driven by a keen interest in law, she pursued legal studies through UNISA and, from 1991 until her retirement in 2020, served in the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development, ultimately holding the position of Senior State Law Adviser.

Louw began writing in 2001, exploring poetry, short stories, and autobiographical work. Her debut novel, The Professor, was completed in 2020 and accepted for publication by Malherbe Publishers in 2024. The book was officially released in April of that year.

In addition to her literary pursuits, she is an accomplished artist, working in styles such as Realism, Surrealism, and Naïve Art. Her creative work, whether in written or visual form, reflects a thoughtful, introspective, and nuanced perspective shaped by decades of professional experience and personal reflection.
