Magtlena Naledi Tumaeletse

Magtlena Naledi Tumaeletse is a South African writer who grew up in a small, close-knit town in the Northern Cape—fondly known as “die eerste drink plek.” The warmth and sense of belonging in her hometown left a lasting impression and continues to inspire her creative expression.

After completing her Grade 12, she enrolled in a Management Assistant program in 2019, though she did not complete her N6 qualification. In June 2022, she entered the workforce, where she continues to build her professional experience.

Naledi discovered her love for writing during her high school years. For her, writing has always been a source of freedom, healing, and self-discovery. Through her work, she strives to give voice to emotion and experience, drawing inspiration from everyday life and her personal journey.
