Nick Viljoen

Nick Viljoen het in die Kaapse Noordelike voorstede grootgeword en skoolgegaan in Goodwood. Na ’n kort tydperk in konstruksie het hy as telefoon-elektrisiën by die Poskantoor begin werk. Ná sy diensplig, waartydens hy opleiding ontvang het by die South West African Specialist Unit, het hy ’n vakleerlingskap by Honda Motorfietse voltooi en op 25-jarige ouderdom sy eerste besigheid in George begin.

Oor drie dekades het hy verskeie ondernemings besit, waaronder motorfietswinkels, ’n supermark, Caltex-diensstasie en restaurant. Sy passie vir bouwerk het uiteindelik in ’n voltydse loopbaan ontwikkel, en sedert 2014 fokus hy uitsluitlik daarop.

Nick het reeds in 1986 begin artikels skryf vir motorfiets-tydskrifte, en later ook kortverhale en humoristiese stories geskryf wat uiteindelik gelei het tot die publikasie van sy eerste boek.

Hy is woonagtig in die Tuinroete, en geniet motorfietsry, toer en kampeer. Sy liefde vir musiek is gewortel in die sewentigerjare, met gunstelinge soos Led Zeppelin en Bob Dylan. Sy voorkeurskrywers sluit in Michael Connelly, John Grisham en Lee Child.

Hy is getroud met Ilse en hulle het een seun.
