Sharon Brummer

Sharon Brummer, known as “Shazzie,” lives in Mossel Bay and writes across a wide range of genres. Growing up in Johannesburg, she discovered the power of books as a means to escape and explore new worlds, which sparked her passion for writing from an early age. Encouraged by her headmaster, Sharon began writing in primary school and has since created a diverse body of work, including children’s books about Deke, an aspiring astronaut, intrigue and romance novels, poetry, and short stories.

She draws inspiration from her own life experiences and the support of her husband and children. When she’s not writing, Sharon enjoys walking on the beach and practicing yoga. Sharon hopes her readers find the same excitement and thrill in her stories that she experiences while creating them.

I’ve always wanted to write. At school I would write plays, poems, and short stories. Fortunately, I had Principals who also loved writing. They were my first mentors and inspiration in picking up my pen.  After my busy career of 30 years with an international electronics company, I decided to start writing full time. My first two adult novels were published, and then two children’s books – ages 5-10. Each book contains three stories on the same little boy. In between I started writing poems. Thus this book of poetry.
